General tournament rules of the World Sports Festival 2012
Players lists and age proof of age
A players list (formation sheet) of all participating players in the tournament must be rendered by all teams. Each player that appears on the players list of each club and complies with the age limit is entitled to play in the respective division. The use of one player in several teams of one club is allowed, but however not in the same division. Each player must be able to prove his age with a valid photo bearing ID (no copies or faxes).
Exemptions
Due to different cutoff dates of the individual national associations it is possible to grant exemptions. Applications for exemptions must be given in writing to the tournament committee. Players may not be more than 6 months too old and there can only be 2 per team. The use of one player in several teams of one club is allowed, (if he complies with the age limit), but jhowever not in the same divisionA player may only play in the team of the squad list in which he appears, if several teams of a club play in the same age category the player may only play in the team for which he was originally nominated.
Competition jury
The competition jury consists of three persons that will deal with possible protest and disqualifications. Protests must be submitted to the competition jury by the latest one hour after the games by the responsible coach. The protest fee is Euro 100.00 and will be refunded if the protest is accepted.Subject to change
The organization committee reserves the right to change the games program, the game rules, the group assignment, the playing time or the venue. The responsible coaches will be informed.
Cancellation of tournament
The director of the tournament will decide on cancellation of the tournament. A tournament is to be cancelled if external conditions prevent a proper completion. Whereby the safety and health of the players has first priority. If there is a cancellation the team will be given the place that it would have achieved in the worst case. If a tournament is cancelled before at least the first round has been completed there will be no evaluation.
Insurances, exclusion of liability and theft
The participants are not insured. It is therefore the responsibility of the coaches to ensure that all participants are insured for the whole duration of the World Sports Festival. The organizer accepts no liability for illness, lost or stolen valuables and any injuries. The tournament organizers can only arrange an ambulance. If the person injured is not insured or there is no agreement for medical treatment between his home country and Austria then the participant must bear the costs of treatment. Each participant declares that he has trained sufficiently and that there is no medical reason prohibiting his participation. All players are informed not to leave valuables or sports equipment unattended.
Walk Over (W.O.)
In case of no-show or late arrival of more than 5 minutes of a team for no valid reason (whether valid or not will be decided by the tournament committee) a defeat will be declared for the no-show/late team.
