• Where does the WSF 2010 take place?
    The center of the festival is Players Town, which is in the largest event location in Austria, in the Pyramid in Vösendorf (Google link, oder link auf Location im Startmenü) next to Vienna. Our venues (wenn vohanden Plan mit Sportstätten verlinken , ansonsten link auf location im Startmenü) are all quite close and almost all are reachable with a shuttle service.
  • What age groups are there?
    The age groups vary from sport to sport. More information can be seen in the description of the individual sport. (link zu Sportarten).
  • Can parents, fans and siblings come too?
    Gladly! They also pay 20 € less on each package price (e.g.: instead of 170 € for the platinum package only 150 €), as they do not use the venues. But they are of course welcome to attend the competitions, the opening ceremony and players’ party to support their athletes.
  • How many coaches can come?
    Most teams come with two or three coaches but of course it us to you how many coaches you can convince.
  • Do only school teams take part in the WSF?
    No, we are happy to see many hobby and semiprofessional teams with athletes from many different countries (Link auf Festivalarchiv – TN 08,09) In any case there will be worthy challenges that is competitors for your team.
  • How much does it cost?
    You can choose between 3 different packages (Silver, Gold and Platinum. More precise information can be obtained (link zu Turnierinfo – Pakete & Preise).
  • How do I register?
    Registration is best done with the online form (Link), but you can also register your team by mail or fax. The form you need you can found here (link zum Download Anmeldeformular). If, after your registration, you make a down payment of at least 10% of the total price or maximum 250,– € within 14 days your/and or your team’s start is reserved. The payment of the balance only hast o be made by the latest end of May 2010. You therefore have enough time to collect the money from the children.   • What about the early booker bonus? What do I get 10% on?
    You get 10% discount on the whole package price and also the meal package for your whole team. Please note that we must receive the registration before 31.03.2010 so we can grant the early booker bonus.
  • Do I have to pay the participation fee if I book a package?
    No, the package price includes the participation fee, the use of all venues, free admission to Players Town, at any time, if needed the shuttle service and of course participation in the opening ceremony and the Players Party.
  • When do I have to make the down payment?
    We ask you to make the down payment within 14 days after you have sent the registration form. That’s the only way we guarantee a start in the WSF 2010.
  • What about meals?
    If you book the meal package you get six meals starting with the schnitzel party (Thursday), pasta party (Friday), international buffet (Saturday) and three lunches. In addition at every meal you receive a soft drink. ! All meals are in the form of a buffet in Players Town, except bowling and tennis; these athletes will have lunch at the venues.
  • When do I know where I am going to sleep?
    Approx. 14 days before arrival you will receive an e-mail with the exact description of your accommodation and how to get there.
  • Where are the accommodations?
    In principle the accommodations are throughout Vienna. The shortest distances are in the PLATINUM package.All youth hostels are in Vienna (= GOLD package) and one should calculate an approx time of 30 min (depends on sport) to get to the venues.
  • What are the cutoff days for football, swimming etc.…?

  • I have older/younger players in my team? What can I do?
    According to the type of sport there are exemption rules. All information on this for your type of sport you can find here (link) under the type of sport.
  • What are the rules in my sport?
    Exact information can e found here (Link) under your type of sport, but in general the games are played according to the international rules of each sport. .
  • I don’t know how to organize the arrival?
    As PDM has its own travel agency we will be happy to make you an individual offer. Regardless whether by train, bus or plane we can organize your arrival. .
  • Are the athletes insured?
    No, unfortunately not, all coaches must ensure that athletes are insured in their home country.
