Bowling

For bowling we expect alone from the USA about 80 players. Many that took part last year have announced their coming to Wolfgang so we calculate there will be a total of 240 participants. The competition will take place in the Brunswick Halle Hernals, that has also been made available in advance to our American guests for training. In prinicple games will be played in the following age groups: The Bowling Championships will be divided into 2 separate events. This will be 4-Teams and Singles, both played with handicaps.

 



Singles Event:

11-14 years born 1 July 1994 and younger
15-18 years born 1 July 1990 and younger

The 30 girls and boys with the highest results of each age group out of the Team Event (including handicap) will be qualified for the Singles Event. Pinfall will be carried forward. Another series of 6 games will be played then. Changing lanes will be the same as in the Team Event. After this 6 games the 4 girls and boys with the highest total results including handicap will play a stepladder final.

 

4-Team Event:

The 4 players forming a team will be drawn on Thursday July 3rd at 19:00. Teams will be made up of players of different countries, different ages and different averages in order to form even teams. If an average is not known or not filled in, the player will be set in group A.

The 4-Teams play 4 times 3 games, where lanes will be changed after every game. The team on the left lane will change 10 lanes to the left and the team on the right lane changes 10 lanes to the right. Like this, the whole center will be played and different teams will meet during the tournament. Depending on the total number of participating teams, the event is scheduled for maximum 3 days. After the last game the winning teams will be honered.


Rules & regulations
