Dear World Sports Festival participant,

Together we spent 3 unbelievably exciting days in Vienna and Lower Austria . More than 3,000 participants from 20 countries took part in a mission of friendship and competed against each other in 9 different types of sport. It was a great honor for us to cheer you on at this year’s WORLD SPORTS FESTIVAL.    

For 3 days everybody competed against each other, cheered each other on and celebrated with each other. Tears of disappointment and success were shed. But the friendly get together was always at the forefront.  Thousands of young people from all points of the compass came to Austria to celebrate together the WORLD SPORTS FESTIVAL 2008. 

They were 3 exciting days in which you made many new friends.  Maybe you even made a friend for life at the WORLD SPORTS FESTIVAL. We are very proud of you! You accepted the athletic challenge and helped carry the essential values of the WORLD SPORTS FESTIVAL. You are opened minded and respectfully approached people from different cultures and considered differences to be an enrichment and not a hindrance. Young people like you are the promising new generation in the world. You are the future!
